Job Description
- Summary Posted: 24 January 2025 Requirements Relevant experience in the field of product development of electromechanical products would be preferred. Knowledge of the material properties of plastics and metals. Knowledge of PDM and 3D CAD Systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter and NX) Analytical thinking, quick comprehension, and problem-solving skills. High level of communication, willingness to cooperate and ability to work in a team. Confident handling of MS Office applications Knowledge of German language would be an added advantage. CAD Software: Tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA are commonly used for designing and modeling mechanical components and systems. Simulation Software: Software such as ANSYS and MATLAB is used for simulating and analyzing mechanical systems to predict performance and identify potential issues. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools: These tools help manage the entire lifecycle of a product from inception, through engineering design and manufacturing, to service and disposal. Examples include Siemens Teamcenter and PTC Windchill. 3D Printing and Prototyping Tools: These tools are used for creating prototypes to test and validate designs. 3D printers and CNC machines are commonly used. Testing and Measurement Tools: Tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and strain gauges are used to test and measure the performance of mechanical components. Project Management Software: Tools like Microsoft Project and Asana help in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Roles & Responsibility Design and Development: Creating and developing mechanical components and systems using CAD software. This includes designing products that meet specific requirements and standards1. Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyzing mechanical systems and components to identify issues and develop solutions. This involves conducting experiments and evaluations to improve product designs. Manufacturing and Installation: Overseeing the manufacturing process, including the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical components. Ensuring that the products are manufactured to the highest quality standards3. Project Management: Estimating budgets and timelines for projects and managing resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget2. Collaboration: Working closely with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure that the mechanical systems integrate seamlessly with other components and systems3. Innovation: Staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into product designs1. Define, accompany, and evaluate the necessary laboratory tests and lead the article to series release. Actively and regularly co-ordinate your planning activities and designs with the responsible Manager of the R&D WAGO division,
