Job Description Team Summary The individual will be part of VCA Data Science geographic team cluster of India and South Asia (INSA) markets and will be responsible for supporting data science engagements with Visas clients. The team is involved in a comprehensive range of consulting services and data-driven solutions to our clients, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management, digital strategy and portfolio management Job Description Key responsibilities include: Client Engagement & Advisory: Collaborate with VCA consultants and key clients to understand their challenges and develop solutions for problems spanning across the customer lifecycle management Partner with clients to understand their business objectives and provide tailored AI solutions. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights and strategies. Manage multiple medium-to-large data science projects simultaneously alongside project partners, adhering to timelines and budget constraints and troubleshooting issues as they arise Solution Design: Propose, design, and advise on the architecture of advanced analytics solutions that leverage AI technologies to meet client-specific needs. Technical Consultancy: Offer expert guidance on AI tools, machine learning frameworks, and best practices for data science projects across diverse industries. Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of AI projects, ensuring proper alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Facilitate workshops, manage stakeholder communication, and report on project progress. Strategic Roadmapping: Help clients develop long-term AI and data science roadmaps, advising on scalability, feasibility, and resource requirements for future initiatives. Team Collaboration: Work alongside other DS team members, sharing knowledge and mentoring to foster in-house AI expertise within the Visa Sales & Business Development Support: Provide subject matter expertise during pre-sales activities, assisting in the creation of compelling proposals and technical demonstrations. Capability Building: Contribute to building client competencies in AI and analytics, providing training and documentation to ensure seamless project handovers. Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of AI advancements and advocate for innovative solutions that drive value for clients. Why this is important to Visa- This is an onsite position and candidate is expected to be in office or client site, as required. Qualifications What you will need: 9-12 years of experience in Data Science roles, with significant experience in a data science consulting capacity. (with minimum 5 years of experience in AI Data Science role) Accredited masters degree in computer science, statistics, econometrics , engineering, or related fields Proven hands-on experience in advanced analytics and statistical modelling including linear regression, logistic regression, clustering methods (e.g. K-means), principal components analysis, classification methods (decision trees / gradient boosting machines), Monte Carlo analysis, natural language processing, and other techniques Experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and algorithms end-to-end at scale Proficient in AI and machine learning ecosystems such as TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, and Pytorch, Python, SQL, NoSQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience working with large volumes of data (Big Data): extracting, cleaning and manipulating large datasets using standard tools such as Python/PySpark, R, SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Presto, SAS, etc. Excellent project management, organizational and presentational skills, Excellent communication skills -verbal & written.
