Job Description
- A Computer Hardware and Networking job typically involves working with both the physical components of computer systems and the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure. General job description: Hardware Maintenance and Support: -Configure and maintain computer hardware components (e.g., motherboards, processors, RAM, storage devices, peripherals). -Diagnose hardware issues and perform repairs or replacements as necessary. -Perform regular system checks and hardware upgrades. -Assemble and test new hardware systems. Networking Setup and Maintenance: -Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. -Configure network devices and ensure proper connectivity. -Set up and maintain wired and wireless networks, ensuring network security. -Troubleshoot network issues and perform diagnostics to identify and fix problems. -Monitor network performance and make necessary improvements. Security and Backup Management: -Implement and maintain network security protocols (e.g., firewalls (Hardware), VPNs) to protect against unauthorized access. -Set up backup systems and perform routine backups of critical data. -Monitor security updates and apply patches to prevent vulnerabilities. Collaboration and Reporting: -Work with other IT teams to integrate hardware and networking systems into the organizations overall IT infrastructure. -Report system status and hardware/network performance to management and provide recommendations for improvements.
