Description: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Infrastructure Support Engineer with expertise in z/OS to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our mainframe systems, ensuring reliable operation and performance as well as supporting various applications running on z/OS. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals to diagnose and resolve issues, implement system upgrades, and contribute to capacity planning. Your primary goal will be to ensure system integrity, availability, and security while meeting the demands of our business operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mainframe architecture and a solid background in system programming and problem resolution. You will engage in proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of system performance issues, collaborating closely with other IT teams to provide exceptional support and improve existing processes. A strong focus on documentation and procedural compliance will be essential, as will the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain the z/OS environment, ensuring high availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe hardware and software issues swiftly and effectively. Collaborate with application teams to support their mainframe application requirements. Implement system upgrades, patches, and maintenance in accordance with best practices. Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery processes are in place. Document all processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet business demands. Requirements: Proven experience as a Mainframe Infrastructure Support Engineer, specifically with z/OS. Strong knowledge of mainframe hardware, software, and networking concepts. Experience with JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe utilities and tools. Hands-on experience with problem determination and resolution for z/OS environments. Familiarity with database management systems, particularly DB2 or IMS. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.,
