Job Description
Business Analyst, is a cross-functional team at Amazon that is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the business. Business Analyst will be required to work closely with other teams across Amazon category team, such merchandising and sales, to develop and implement strategies.
Business Analyst professionals at category amazon team should have a strong background in business analytics and operations. Preferably skilled in project management, communication, and problem-solving.
Here are some of the key responsibilities of a Business Analyst: -
Develop and implement business strategies and plans
Collect, analyze, and report on business data
Identify and assess business risks
Develop and implement operational processes and procedures
Manage and improve business performance
Work with other teams across Amazon to achieve common goals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should have
1-3 years of experience working across operations, e-commerce or retail.
0-2 years of experience for delivering activities from teams that she/he didnt directly own.
Ability to communicate and work with a wide range of internal and external teams.
Working knowledge of Excel
Open to learning database applications, SQL queries and other analysis tools.
Superior verbal and written communications skills; particularly, the ability to deliver analysis in a clear and actionable format.
Proven ability to define effective and scalable processes and drive continuous improvement through root cause identification and measuring the success of those initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Ability to dive deep into a problem, perform Root Cause Analysis and identify constraints to recommend a solution - on this, we will test the candidates ability to think logically through a given issue, structure their thoughts, identify the problem correctly and then recommend appropriate solutions - Ability to deal with ambiguity - use discretion and judgment to take decisions on critical business Benefits of working as a Business Analyst, Category business in Bangalore
