Job Description
- Job Title Title: Deputy Manager Tax and Regulatory Department: Tax and Regulatory Location: India About the Role Reporting to the Tax Lead - Tax and Regulatory, the individual will be responsible for managing all the direct and indirect tax affairs as well as regulatory matters of the OUP entities in India. This will involve close interaction with local management, business, and central group teams. The individual is required to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external consultants and tax officials. Key Accountabilities Manage the corporate income tax and GST compliances for OUP entities in India, including but not limited to annual tax returns, advance tax computation, transfer pricing, GST monthly returns, and annual returns. Manage the department audits of income tax and GST with the help of consultants to satisfactorily address all queries. Act as the primary point of contact for all corporate tax and GST-related queries of the business. Manage corporate secretarial compliances for all OUP entities in India. Manage RBI compliances for all OUP entities in India. Assist in undertaking group tax reporting and also complete internal trackers. Manage the documentation related to inter-group transactions by coordinating with various local/group teams. Control all tax balances and ensure timely reconciliations. Participate in planning activities for new products. Act as a repository for all inter-group agreements. Assist in ad-hoc projects as and when required. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience A Qualified Chartered Accountant with overall experience of 5 to 8 years. Company Secretarial qualification will be an advantage but not necessary. Experience in managing taxation (Direct and Indirect) including transfer pricing and Company law. Strong functional and execution capabilities in Finance, accounts, tax, and corporate law domain with good analytical skills. Proficiency in numerical and data analyses. Experience in using SAP. Good communicator, with fluent written and spoken English. Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to effectively prioritize and manage a broad and demanding workload.
