Role Description
As a Specialist in Software Development Engineering focusing on SAP ABAP/Fiori development, you will play a crucial role in our SAP S4 HANA transformation projects. You will engage with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP reports, programs, enhancements, and workflows tailored to meet our clients' needs. This role also involves providing firsthand support for both on-premises and SAP Azure Cloud systems.
ABAP Development:
- Customized Development:Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP reports, programs, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Code Optimization:Optimize ABAP code for performance improvements and ensure best coding practices.
- Data Dictionary:Manage and create database objects like tables, views, indexes, and structures within the SAP Data Dictionary.
- BAPIs and BADIs:Implement and enhance Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) and Business Add-Ins (BADIs).
- Dialogs and ALV:Develop and enhance dialog programs and ALV (ABAP List Viewer) reports for better user experience and data presentation.
- Integration:Integrate SAP systems with other SAP and non-SAP systems using various technologies (such as OData, REST, SOAP).
- Object Oriented Programming: Utilize advanced ABAP programming techniques including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- S4 HANA Advanced Skills: Utilize CDS views, AMDP, and other new enhancement frameworks available in SAP S4 HANA.
- ABAP Nex Syntax 7.4 / 7.5 Effective utilization of ABAP New Syntax (7.4/7.5).
Fiori Development:
- Application Development:Design and develop responsive Fiori applications using the SAPUI5 framework.
- OData Services:Create and manage OData services to enable efficient communication between Fiori apps and SAP backend systems.
- Fiori Launchpad:Configure and manage Fiori Launchpad for seamless deployment and user access control.
- Custom Fiori Elements:Develop and extend standard Fiori elements to meet client-specific requirements.
- UI/UX Enhancements:Implement user interface and user experience enhancements to provide intuitive and efficient Fiori applications.
- Testing & Debugging:Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure Fiori applications meet quality standards.
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate:Work within a team environment in the development, testing, and support of software development project lifecycles.
- Documentation:Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and deployment procedures.
- Issue Resolution:Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues efficiently to minimize impact on business operations.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and continuously seek improvement and optimization opportunities.
- Support:Participate in pre- and post-deployment activities to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Learning & Development:Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
What you will need to have:
- Educational Background:Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience:Over 10-15 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including experience with SAP Fiori.
- Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of ABAP programming, SAP UI5/Fiori development, OData services, and SAP NetWeaver Gateway.
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Team Player:Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, showing a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Experience : SAP ABAP on HANA
