Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Advanced Predictive Modeling: Develop and refine predictive models using statistical methods, such as regression, time series analysis, and machine learning, to forecast financial performance across key metrics and drive proactive business decisions.
  • Comprehensive Data Preparation: Perform data cleaning, transformation, and organization to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used in analytics and modeling.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conduct detailed statistical analysis to uncover trends, correlations, and patterns within complex datasets, translating findings into actionable insights for the business.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Interpret and visualize statistical findings through tools like Tableau and MS Excel to present insights to stakeholders, facilitating effective decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Database Design and Management: Design, develop, and maintain databases to support efficient data storage, management, and retrieval for ongoing and future analyses.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Finance Leader, Business Finance analysts, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of analytical insights with business goals and support collaborative projects.
  • Process Improvement and Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize data processes, enhance the accuracy of forecasts, and support the evolution of analytics capabilities within the Commercial Finance team.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake additional duties as assigned, adapting quickly to new challenges and priorities.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in applied mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis within a business finance setting.
  • Strong expertise in Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Excel, with an ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
