Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Management and Operations
 Install, configure, and maintain AlloyDB instances in cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
 Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
 Perform regular database backups and implement disaster recovery solutions.
2. Performance Optimization
 Analyze and optimize query performance using indexing, partitioning, and other advanced techniques.
 Monitor and fine-tune database parameters for optimal performance.
3. Security and Compliance
 Implement database security best practices, including encryption, user access controls, and auditing.
 Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
4. Development Support
 Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and queries.
 Support CI/CD processes by managing database migrations and automation.
5. Monitoring and Alerts
 Set up robust monitoring tools to track system health and send alerts for anomalies.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database environments and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
 " Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with hands-on expertise in AlloyDB or similar database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL).
 " Strong knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques.
 " Experience with database backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
 " Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
" Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Cloud Monitoring.
 " Proficiency in database security and compliance best practices.
 " Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 " Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
