BI Engineer Job Description:
- Experience in Excel
- 5+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Advanced SQL. [Advanced SQL include but are not limited to: All types of JOINs Aggregate functions (GROUP BY, HAVING), Subqueries, Set operations (UNION, UNION ALL, INTERSECT, MINUS), Window functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), GROUP BY extensions (ROLLUP, CUBE, and GROUPING SETS)]
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a data analyst/statistical analysis role - Ability to use scripting languages such as Python or R to evaluate data
- Experience building dashboards, reports, or tools through technologies such as QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny or D3 Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concepts; Experience with query optimization and evaluating data integrity
