Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Open Source Linux Audio Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux audio systems, extensive experience in open-source projects, and a passion for developing cutting-edge audio technologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Linux audio drivers and applications. Collaborate with the open-source community to contribute to and improve existing audio projects. Optimize audio performance and ensure compatibility across various Linux distributions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex audio-related issues. Work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate audio solutions. Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and advanced techniques. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Linux audio technologies. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in Linux audio development. Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python. Extensive experience with ALSA, PulseAudio, JACK, and other Linux audio frameworks. Proven track record of contributions to open-source projects. Deep understanding of audio signal processing and digital audio concepts. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with TinyALSA, ALSA, ASoC topology, and codec drivers. Linux Kernel Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals. Experience with kernel module development and debugging. Familiarity with kernel subsystems related to audio. Ability to contribute to and maintain kernel patches. Understanding of kernel security practices and performance optimization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time audio processing. Familiarity with audio hardware design and integration. Experience with version control systems like Git Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time audio processing.
