Network Security Engineer

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage cutting-edge security solutions across our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will be a key member of a global team, collaborating closely with security and infrastructure teams to ensure the highest levels of security and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Network Security Architecture: Design, implement, and support a robust and scalable network security infrastructure, leveraging technologies like Palo Alto NGFW, Azure security services, and on-premises solutions.
• Cloud Security Expertise: Engineer and maintain secure cloud environments, including Azure Firewall VM Scale Sets, utilizing automation tools for efficient deployment and lifecycle management.
• Manage Security Systems: Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical security systems, such as large-scale VPNs, network AAA systems, and cloud-based WAF and DDoS protection services.
• Drive Automation: Develop and implement automation solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Golang to streamline deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Security Innovation: Conduct research on emerging security technologies, evaluate new solutions, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our security architecture.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and task automation within the Network Security domain and develop software solutions to address them.
• Compliance and Auditing: Contribute to security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (e. g. , ISO27K, PCI DSS, SOC).
• Incident Response: Investigate, debug, and resolve network and security incidents effectively.
• Team Leadership: Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep Network Security Expertise: Proven understanding of network security concepts, technologies, and solutions (firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation).
• Palo Alto NGFW Mastery: Strong expertise in Palo Alto NGFW deployment, configuration, and management, particularly within cloud environments.
• Cloud Security Proficiency: Experience with public cloud environments, ideally with a focus on network security.
• Automation Proficiency: Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Golang.
• Agile/DevOps Experience: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to effectively diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues.
• Excellent Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a global team.
• ITIL Framework: Understanding of ITIL processes, with certification preferred.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with firewalls (Palo Alto preferred) and their management systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Golang) in a production environment.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or cloud environments with a focus on automation and security.
• Experience with the implementation and configuration of site-to-site IPSec VPN solutions.
