Job Description
- Mandatory Skills: Terraform Kubernetes Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Lead a team of DevOps engineers and work closely with development, QA, and product teams to implement DevOps best practices. Define the DevOps strategy with a strong emphasis on AWS cloud optimization, automation, and security. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, ensuring the teams overall success and growth. AWS Cloud Operations (CloudOps): Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.) for high availability, security, and cost-efficiency. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation and/or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources. Utilize AWS-native services like AWS CloudWatch, AWS Systems Manager, and AWS Config for monitoring, automation, and compliance management. Ensure scalability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions across AWS environments. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild to streamline code deployment. Ensure reliable and consistent releases by automating testing, validation, and deployment processes. Continuously improve and scale CI/CD pipelines to handle large-scale deployments efficiently. Automation & Configuration Management: Automate infrastructure and software deployment processes using Bash, Python, or AWS Lambda functions. Manage configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to standardize server configurations and deployments. Implement autoscaling solutions in AWS to handle dynamic traffic loads. Security & Compliance: Ensure AWS security best practices are followed, including proper IAM role management, VPC security, encryption (KMS), and cloud security posture management. Implement security and compliance policies (e.g., SOC2, GDPR) using AWS security tools like AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and AWS WAF. Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure proactive issue detection. Analyze system performance using AWS-native monitoring tools and optimize AWS resource utilization. Implement disaster recovery strategies, backup management, and performance optimization across AWS services. Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure the seamless integration of infrastructure and application changes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues in production and development environments. Manage multi-account AWS environments and ensure cost optimization strategies are in place. Key Skills: AWS Expertise: Extensive experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, etc.), AWS networking (VPC, Route53), and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail). Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with CloudFormation and/or Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation. CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and version control systems like Git. Automation & Scripting: Strong skills in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or AWS Lambda for automating cloud infrastructure. Monitoring & Logging: Experience with AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, and third-party monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Security: In-depth knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM, VPC security, encryption, and compliance requirements. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve AWS infrastructure issues and optimize deployments. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in DevOps and CloudOps, with a strong focus on AWS. Proficiency in AWS services, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines. Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) on AWS. AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
