Job Description: Database Infrastructure Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the overall database infrastructure, including design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and performance optimizations.
Resolve complex database issues and provide technical expertise.
Implement and manage advanced database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and procedures.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization at both the database and application levels.
Develop and enforce database best practices and standards.
Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level DBAs.
Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and techniques in database administration.
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration and architecture.
Lead initiatives related to database architecture design and implementation.
Plan and manage database upgrades, migrations, and major version updates.
Establish and maintain database security standards and best practices.
Develop and optimize database backup and recovery strategies.
Address complex database performance issues and provide optimization recommendations.
Participate in on-call rotation to handle critical database incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on database-related projects and initiatives.
Conduct research and stay up to date on the latest PostgreSQL features and best practices.
