Job Description

Position: Piping Designer / Senior Piping Designer Total Experience: 5-15 years in piping designs, piping layouts, isometric extraction, MTOs. Edu: Associate or ITI in mechanical engineering Location: Ahmedabad Primary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to the following: Mechanical Design Department Mechanical designer job duties will include but not be limited to the following Personalized career page a. Accumulate all relevant documents for a design including datasheets, P&IDs, GAs etc. to ensure that all issued documents are correct and complete. b. Determine if P&IDs or datasheets can be revised rather than standard design patterns. c. Verify and highlight issues on process related parameters such as pump pressures, line sizes, velocities etc. d. Model piping, Generate isometrics and piping layout with Minimal supervision. e. Ensure all Bills of Material are completed without errors for fittings, hardware, gaskets etc. f. Produce loose item and subassembly lists on the SAP upload sheets without errors. g. Complete design without omissions such as pipe spools, pipe support, box stands, vents, Eductor headers, injection quills etc. h. Ensure that design, drawings, checklists, master BOM and SAP upload sheets are completed in timely manner. i. Ensure that interconnecting piping errors and misfits are minimized by correct drawings and strategically placed field welds as verified by field feedback. j. Other miscellaneous duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the operations of the department. Qualifications and Experience Drafting certification from recognized Trade School. Experience: 5 15 years in piping designs, piping layouts, isometric extraction, MTOs. Software: Autodesk AutoCAD 2D, Plant 3D, MS Excel, Word. Experience in 3D engineering a must.
