They design and develop automated tests using various programming languages and testing frameworks. They work closely with developers and product managers to understand project requirements, business objectives, technical specifications, and user scenarios. SDET's perform exploratory testing to identify defects, defects in regression tests, and help prioritize bug fixes. They use tools and technologies such as Selenium, Java  to automate test execution and integrate tests into the software development process. They participate in code reviews, design discussions, and project planning meetings to help ensure that quality is a top priority throughout the software development lifecycle. SDET's are responsible for maintaining test suites, documentation, and test results to ensure traceability and repeatability. They work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and improve software reliability, scalability, and performance. They continually learn and adopt new testing methodologies, technologies, and tools to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
