Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the Power Transformer Industry. As a mid-level engineer, you will be responsible for Mechanical Designing & finalizing internal & external layout of transformer, including preparation & finalization of all drawing related to manufacturing of transformer. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Design: Design mechanical components of power transformers, including tanks, bushings, radiators, cooling systems, and structural supports. Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to create detailed 2D/3D models and technical drawings. Design Calculations & Analysis: Perform mechanical calculations (e.g., structural integrity, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics) to ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct strength and fatigue analysis of materials and components. Prototyping & Testing: Oversee prototype development and support testing procedures to validate designs. Review test results and implement design adjustments based on feedback. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with electrical and manufacturing engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical components. Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components required for mechanical assemblies. Project Management Support: Assist with project scheduling, budget planning, and risk management. Ensure that all designs meet deadlines and quality standards. Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts for transformer designs, focusing on reliability, safety, and efficiency. Evaluate new technologies and innovations to improve product performance and reduce costs. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the power transformer, electrical equipment, or heavy industrial sectors. Must have: Experience of Mechanical Design & Drawing of Power Transformers 220kv and 400kv class, 2D / 3D software environment (AUTOCAD, SolidWorks). Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools is preferred. Familiarity with power transformer industry standards and best practices.,
