Job Description
- Dental Biller Position Education and Certification: College degree or equivalent (required). Knowledge in dental or medical billing is preferred . Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dental billing or a related role. Familiarity with dental insurance processes, including claim submission, follow-ups, and appeals. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of dental billing procedures and terminology. Familiarity with Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and explanation of benefits (EOBs). Knowledge of insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and claims processing. Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements. Skills: Technical Proficiency: o Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental). o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Attention to Detail: o Ability to review claims for accuracy and completeness. o Strong problem-solving skills to resolve denied or rejected claims. Communication Skills: o Effective verbal and written communication with patients, insurance providers, and team members. o Customer service skills to handle billing inquiries tactfully. Time Management: o Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. o Strong organizational skills to maintain records and follow up on outstanding accounts. Mathematical Aptitude: adjustments. Additional Requirements: Dependable and punctual with a professional attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong ethics and discretion in handling sensitive financial and medical information.,
