Android Developer @ Square Pixel Hiring

Job Description

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Technical Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in Android app development using Java or Kotlin.
Strong understanding of OOP concepts and designs.
Experience integrating with external APIs/web services (with REST, SOAP, etc.).
Experience in developing multimedia-based applications or ed-tech applications (Number of live applications in play store).
Experience with third-party tools integrations using APIs and REST services.
Familiarity with MVP, MVVM, RxAndroid, and data binding library
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines and best practices.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Leading the team and support for small development teams.
Participate in end-to-end development of features, including performance monitoring and app analytics.
UI/UX development
App testing performance and functionality.
