- Designation: Assistant General Manager Updated: November 11, 2024 Location: Maharashtra, India Organization: Paints HO Job Description: Below JD for your reference. *Job Description: Sales and Commercial Finance Analyst** *Position Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales and Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for implementing proper accounting practices, internal control systems, and financial analysis to support our sales and commercial functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budget preparation, and cost optimization. *Key Responsibilities:** Implement and maintain proper accounting practices and internal control systems for the sales and receivables process. Prepare comprehensive budgets for the sales and commercial functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports, monitor actual spends against the budget, and perform month-over-month analysis to identify variances and their causes. Coordinate with Accounts and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial provisions. Analyze major expenses such as freight and rent, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor collections, analyze overdue and slow-moving debtors, prepare MIS reports, and implement strategies to reduce non-moving debtors. Ensure timely confirmation and reconciliation of debtor balances. Conduct audits of warehouses to ensure adherence to SOPs and compliance with operational standards. Review internal controls and ensure compliance with the Delegation of Authority to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and suggest areas for cost optimization and continuous improvement across the organization. Analyze capital expenditures and actively participate in closing central annual rate contracts to manage and optimize capital spend. *Qualifications:** Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and internal controls. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., MS Excel, SAP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. *Preferred:** Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. Experience in the sales and commercial functions of a similar industry.
