Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant Production DBA Engineer Ability to work individually or mentor and train a small group in a development and migration environment. Communicate effectively with global customers and collaborate well within a team environment to drive results. Responsibilities Having eyes on glass 24/7 to enable swift response to any alerts or anomalies Should be open to work in shift timings to support production environments (S1 - 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM CST/ 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM IST; Shift 2 - 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST /6:30 PM - 3:30 AM IST ; Shift 3 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST/8:30 PM - 5:30 AM IST ; Shift 4 - 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM CST /2:30 AM - 11:30 AM IST) Database maintenance (Install, configure, and upgrade database software, performing regular backups. Monitoring databases, file growth & disk space usage, implementing monitoring alerts and notifications to proactively identify and address potential issues) Performance tuning & optimization (Identifying & resolving performance bottlenecks using monitoring tools & techniques, analyzing query execution & optimizing T-SQL queries for enhanced performance, data archiving, purging as per mutually agreed data retention policy) Troubleshooting and Support (Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, such as performance degradation, deadlock analysis etc.) Collaborating with other IT teams to troubleshoot cross-functional issues & providing technical support and guidance to data engineers Automation and Scripting (e.g. Automating routine tasks such as database backups, index maintenance, and database health checks) Security Management High Availability & Disaster recovery Documentation and Knowledge Sharing Qualifications we seek in you!
