- Data Governance Lead / Specialist: Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the data governance framework, ensuring the integrity, security, and quality of data across the organization. The Data Governance Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders, including data stewards, IT, compliance, and business units, to enforce data management policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework: Design, implement, and maintain the data governance framework, including policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and business units to define data governance roles and responsibilities. Development and maintenance of data dictionaries, data lineage, and business glossaries. Data Quality Management: Establish data quality metrics and standards, and implement processes to monitor and improve data quality. Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data governance practices comply with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, or CCPA etc. Work with IT and security teams to safeguard sensitive data and ensure proper data access controls are in place. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between IT, business units, and data stewards to promote a data-driven culture and ensure alignment on data governance objectives. Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance policies and best practices. Data Catalog and Metadata Management: Maintain and manage the data catalog, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurately reflects the organizations data assets. Implement and manage metadata standards, ensuring consistent and accurate data documentation.,
