Job Overview We are seeking a Junior GIS Mapping specialist to join our team full-time in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, or Malkajgiri. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience in Geographic Information Systems. The role demands expertise in handling geospatial data, producing maps, and optimizing spatial databases, with an emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a mandatory skill. Qualifications And Skills Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is mandatory to manage and analyze spatial data effectively. Experience with geospatial data management to organize, store, and retrieve large datasets accurately. Strong knowledge of cartography for creating clear and visually appealing maps that communicate complex information. Familiarity with remote sensing techniques to interpret data from satellite and aerial imagery. Competency in data visualization to present geospatial data in an interactive and accessible format. Understanding of GPS technology for spatial data collection, location-based services, and navigation. Experience in mapping to provide spatial thinking and geographic contextualization for various projects. Skills in spatial database management to ensure the integrity and efficiency of spatial data storage and retrieval. Roles And Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive GIS analysis to support various environmental and urban planning projects. Develop and maintain geospatial databases to ensure data accuracy and availability. Create detailed maps and visualizations that aid in decision-making processes for clients. Collaborate with project teams to integrate GIS capabilities into larger project workflows. Analyze spatial data through the use of GIS software and identify spatial relationships and trends. Utilize GPS technology to gather and validate field data for mapping and analysis purposes. Stay up-to-date with technological advancements in GIS to propose and implement innovative solutions.
