Position Overview: The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, optimizing revenue streams, and ensuring business growth through effective sales, procurement, supply chain, and customer relationship management. The CCO will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to enhance profitability, streamline commercial operations, and identify new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Commercial Leadership Develop and implement the companys commercial strategy to maximize profitability. Align sales, procurement, and supply chain functions with overall business objectives. Drive revenue growth through market expansion, new business development, and pricing strategies. 2. Procurement & Vendor Management Optimize sourcing strategies for raw materials, ensuring cost efficiency and quality. Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and improve procurement terms. Monitor global market trends and ensure a competitive advantage in raw material procurement. 3. Sales & Business Development Lead sales and marketing teams to drive market penetration and business expansion. Develop pricing strategies and commercial terms for different markets and customer segments. Strengthen relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance sales performance. 4. Supply Chain & Logistics Optimization Ensure a smooth and cost-efficient supply chain for domestic and international markets. Implement freight optimization strategies to reduce logistics costs while maintaining delivery efficiency. Develop strategies for inventory management to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory. 5. Financial & Risk Management Ensure profitability through cost control, pricing strategies, and efficient budget management. Assess and mitigate commercial risks related to contracts, supply chain disruptions, and market volatility. Work with the CFO to develop financial models for commercial operations. 6. Contract Negotiation & Compliance Oversee contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure favorable terms. Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in commercial transactions. Develop risk management frameworks to safeguard the companys interests. 7. Leadership & Team Development Build and mentor a high-performing commercial team across sales, procurement, and logistics. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance excellence. Drive digital transformation in commercial operations using AI, ERP, and data analytics tools. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue Growth: Increase in annual sales and revenue. Procurement Cost Savings: Reduction in raw material procurement costs. Supply Chain Efficiency: Decrease in logistics and transportation costs. Profit Margins: Improvement in gross and net profit margins. Customer Retention: Growth in repeat business and key account relationships. Inventory Turnover: Optimized stock levels and reduced holding costs. Contract Optimization: Improved commercial terms and vendor negotiations. Qualifications & Experience: Education: MBA/PGDM in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 15+ years in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably in steel, mining, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Skills: Strong expertise in commercial negotiations, supply chain management, procurement strategies, financial planning, and contract management.
