Job Description
Position Summary
We are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our customer data team. You will take responsibility for gathering raw data image information (ground truth) from NCR s customer onsite location relative to NCR s scanner and cognitive recognition products.As part of a team, you will be engaging with our development teams and interpret patterns and trends. Once data has been gathered and interpreted, the Data Analyst will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the wider business/relevant colleagues.To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. Being able to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. Being able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
- Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Being vigilant in the analysis to come to correct conclusions.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Resolve any issues that arise within key analytics from a development standpoint. For data integrity issues, provide support in resolving
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Basic Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages databases, programming (XML, SQL) VB / C sharp / Python .
- Knowledge of statistics and proficient using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel including PowerPivot and Power Query etc.).
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant
- Excellent communication skills to present the analytics/reports to multiple audiences within NCR.
- Ability to work with multiple functions across NCR at various management levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSC Computer science degree / MCA Degree.
