Who Are We Raptee.HV is a full-stack electric motorcycle startup with a strong technical foundation. Founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (with backgrounds at Tesla and Wipro), Raptee Energy aims to revolutionize the EV market by offering a high-performance motorcycle alternative to the existing scooter-dominated options. The company is incubated at CIIC & ARAI. Role Overview This role is ideal for recent graduates with an MTech in Power Electronics or professionals with 1-2 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of power electronic converters for various applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Design, simulate, and prototype DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC power converters. Conduct circuit analysis and component selection for power electronic circuits. Perform simulations using LTSpice, MATLAB and other relevant simulation software. Develop PCB layouts using Altium Designer. Conduct hardware testing and validation of power electronic converters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., hardware, firmware, mechanical) to integrate power electronics systems. Document design specifications, test procedures, and results. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to power electronics circuits. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in power electronics technology. What Were Looking For M.Tech in Power Electronics (preferred) or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework and experience. 0-2 years of experience in power electronics design and development. Solid understanding of power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes). Strong knowledge of DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC converter topologies and control techniques. Proficiency in circuit simulation using LTSpice or similar tools. Experience with PCB layout design using Altium Designer (preferred). Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Technical Skills (Required) DC-DC Converters (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, etc.) AC-DC Converters (Rectifiers, PFC circuits) DC-AC Converters (Inverters) LTSpice, MATLAB Simulation Software Altium Designer (preferred) Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, and electromagnetics. Preferred Skills Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming. Knowledge of thermal management techniques for power electronics. Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation techniques. Familiarity with industry standards related to power electronics (e.g., IEC, UL).
