Partner with the best As a Lead Database Administrator, you should have strong experience as a DBA, including hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle Administration, administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting on premise as well as Cloud. As a Lead Database Administrator, you will be responsible for: Leading and managing database projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure Defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management Directing and coordinating the activities of the database team, including DBAs, developers, and analysts Fostering a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments Providing mentorship and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practices Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors Managing stakeholder expectations, provide regular updates, and address any issues or concerns promptly Identifying and assessing project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle Resolving conflicts and issues that may impact project success, ensuring timely and effective solutions Ensuring that database solutions meet quality standards and align with organisational goals Overseeing testing and validation processes to verify that deliverables meet project requirements and performance criteria Managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting Allocating resources efficiently, balancing project demands with team capacity and capabilities Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews Generating and presenting project reports to senior management and other stakeholders Evaluating project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement Implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance future project performance and team effectiveness Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Be a graduate in Computer Science, IT or similar or demonstrate equivalent professional work experience Have 10-12 years of experience in database domain Have Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale database implementations and migrations Have Strong understanding of database technologies (eg, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and related tools Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
