Position 1: JRF Infrastructure Annotation & GIS Analysis Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure annotation and object detection in high-resolution satellite imagery Spatial GIS analysis and web-dashboard development Application of machine learning to geospatial datasets Requirements: M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering / Computer Science Engineering or related fields Specialization in computer vision, remote sensing, GIS, geospatial engineering Experience with object detection algorithms (e.g., YOLO) and web development Position 2: JRF Water Quality Estimation Key Responsibilities: Water quality estimation using remote sensing and field data Application of machine learning and conventional approaches Preparation of reports, manuscript writing, and organizing workshops Requirements: M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering with a focus on water resources, environment, remote sensing, GIS, or geospatial engineering Knowledge of programming, water quality modeling, hydrological simulations, or environmental monitoring using sampling and remote sensing Familiarity with water indices (NDWI, NDCI, TSS estimation) Why Join Us This is an exciting opportunity to work at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) in collaboration with a consortium of Hokkaido University, TERI SAS, and IIT BHU.
