Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in network security, firewalls, and load balancing. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures in enterprise environments. The position requires deep knowledge of network security protocols and the ability to manage complex network systems efficiently. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and manage firewalls (i.e., Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto) to secure network infrastructure. Deploy and manage load balancers (i.e. , F5, Citrix ADC) to optimize traffic distribution and ensure high availability of network services. Implement and maintain secure network architectures, ensuring compliance with security standards. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including firewall rules, VPN setups, and connectivity challenges. Monitor network performance and security, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations and security protocols. Document network configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures. Stay updated on the latest network security threats and develop countermeasures. Required Skills Firewalls : Hands-on experience with configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc. Load Balancers : Expertise in deploying and managing load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC). Network Security : Strong understanding of network security principles, including VPN, IDS/IPS, threat prevention, and security protocols. Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.) Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Good understanding of cloud-based network infrastructures (AWS, Azure) is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 4+ years of relevant network engineering experience. Network security certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or equivalent are preferred. (ref:hirist.tech),
