As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to drive complex migration projects and optimize our clients cloud infrastructure using advanced DevOps practices, tools, and a strong emphasis on security. About the Role: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in migrating on-premises or cloud-hosted infrastructure and applications to AWS. Your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, along with your deep understanding of AWS services and DevOps methodologies, will ensure seamless, secure, and efficient migrations. Additionally, you will be responsible for leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration, microservices architecture, and application modernization, with a strong focus on integrating security into every aspect of the DevOps lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Analysis: Evaluate existing infrastructures to determine cloud readiness, analyzing technical dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and security needs Migration Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies aligned with organizational goals, leveraging AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and other AWS resources Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform and other IaC tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring consistency, repeatability, scalability, and security Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to streamline deployment processes while embedding security checks and tests Kubernetes and Containerization: Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate containerized applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, reliability, and security Microservices Architecture: Design, develop, and manage microservices-based applications to enhance scalability and maintainability, ensuring each service adheres to security best practices Application Modernization: Lead initiatives to modernize legacy applications by adopting cloud-native technologies and practices with built-in security measures Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions and perform regular performance tuning and cost optimization to ensure efficient and secure use of AWS resources Risk Management and Compliance: Address potential risks associated with cloud migration and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and AWS security practices. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments Knowledge Sharing and Training: Promote a culture of continuous learning by sharing knowledge on AWS migration, IaC, Kubernetes, microservices, DevOps best practices, and security, conducting workshops, and developing training materials Experience required 5 years Role Requirements: Expertise in AWS Migration Tools: In-depth knowledge of AWS services like AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Discovery Service, AWS DataSync, and AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery Proficiency in IaC Tools: Extensive experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure and automating resource provisioning with security in mind DevOps Methodologies: Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, configuration management, automated testing, and security practices Kubernetes: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications securely Microservices: Proficient in designing and implementing secure microservices architecture Security Integration: Demonstrated ability to integrate security practices into DevOps workflows, including automated security testing, continuous monitoring, and compliance checks Project Management Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from inception to completion Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to analyze complex systems, identify issues, and implement effective solutions, particularly with security implications Quick Learner: Ability to rapidly grasp new technologies and concepts, especially in the security domain Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical and security issues promptly Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic Qualifications: Extensive experience in a cloud architecture or DevOps role with a focus on AWS Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams Proficient in designing high-availability systems on AWS Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or SysOps Administrator certifications Proven ability in using AWS core services for complex migrations Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline Background in compliance and risk management within cloud environments, with specific expertise in AWS security services such as AWS Shield, AWS WAF, AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS IAM Why Join SourceFuse Lead cutting-edge cloud transformation projects with major global companies.
