The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing an advanced authentication and authorization system for our SaaS platform. This project is focused on enhancing security, streamlining user management, and improving the overall user experience by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and a Custom Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system with Fine-Grained Access (FGA) controls. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices for authentication and authorization. Develop and integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Custom Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with Fine-Grained Access (FGA) controls. Development: Build and maintain Node.js backend services with a focus on high performance, security, and scalability. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support authentication and authorization functionalities. Implement bulk user import/export features and automated provisioning/de-provisioning workflows. Ensure seamless integration with external identity providers (IdPs) through Directory Synchronization (DirSync) and SCIM. Security: Implement best practices for securing sensitive data and user information. Work closely with the security team to conduct regular code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Collaboration & Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure the backend infrastructure meets the needs of the platform. Integrate the backend services with external APIs and third-party identity providers. Testing & Optimization: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the backend services. Optimize services for performance and scalability in a cloud-based environment. Qualifications: Technical Skills: Proven experience with Node.js, Express.js, and building RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and related patterns. Experience with authentication protocols Familiarity with implementing SSO, MFA, and RBAC systems. Knowledge of Fine-Grained Access (FGA) controls. Proficiency in integrating with external identity providers (IdPs) using Directory Synchronization (DirSync) and SCIM. Strong understanding of security best practices, including encryption, token management, and secure coding standards. Tools & Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency with version control systems (Git) Knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Education & Experience: Bachelor""s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js. 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture.
