    Head DevOps, SRE & Infra - Risk Technology About the team: This is a leadership role in the Risk Tech team. The Risk Tech team is responsible for the building out and operations of Risk management solutions, including fraud prevention, AML prevention and also lending, compliance and operations related risk. The team works with a startup culture within the larger organization by being extremely agile, innovative, failing fast and celebrating frequent wins. Role Description: The DevOps, SRE and Infrastructure leader tackles our organizations toughest technical problems and drives technical excellence at all levels, working with senior management to support execution of the organization's vision. This person has a clear long term vision to keep operational overhead to a minimum by making strategic investments in automation, observability and aiming for a hand off the wheel approach. The leader in this role needs to bring in innovation by leveraging AI/ML for managing the infrastructure and technical operations. This position is perfect for you if you possess exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts while also engaging deeply with development teams on intricate details. You take full ownership of the technical implementation of projects, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments and proactive measures are in place to mitigate potential issues. You prioritize quality in every aspect of your work, continuously exploring innovative metrics to evaluate and enhance application performance, ensuring high uptime and delivering outstanding user experiences. Your commitment to excellence drives you to maintain a strong focus on automating processes related to deployment, continuous integration, and quality control. As a dedicated learner, you keep abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on our infrastructure and operations. You are hands-on and willing to dive into technical challenges when necessary, demonstrating a strong affinity for infrastructure management and reliability practices. Roles and Responsibilities: The leader is responsible for these 3 broad areas: A. DevOps: Strategic Oversight: Design and implement the overall DevOps strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This includes identifying areas for improvement and creating a roadmap for DevOps transformation. Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams, ensuring smooth integration of software releases into production environments. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and align deployment processes. Automation and CI/CD: Spearhead complete automation of deployment processes and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability in software delivery. Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize application performance and reliability. Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing DevOps team is crucial, including mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. B. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Reliability Management: Maintain high availability (4 9s), low MTTD and MTTR of services by implementing reliability best practices, defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and ensuring adherence to them. Incident Response: Lead incident management efforts, including establishing protocols for incident response, conducting post-mortems, and implementing improvements to prevent recurrence. Capacity Planning: Forecast future infrastructure needs based on usage patterns and growth projections to ensure scalability without compromising performance. Tooling and Automation: Lead the development of tools that automate operational tasks, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency across the organization. Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with the development teams to integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that new features meet reliability standards. C. Infrastructure Infrastructure Strategy: Develop a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that supports the organization's goals while ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Resource Management: Manage cloud resources across geographies optimizing resource allocation based on demand while maintaining budget constraints. Security Compliance: Ensure that infrastructure complies with security best practices and compliance measures. Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of failures or outages. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience leading DevOps, SRE and Infrastructure Engineering teams. Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Extensive knowledge in designing, deploying and supporting AWS and other cloud platforms. Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Strong Knowledge on monitoring tools. Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and scripting. In-depth experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation). In-depth understanding of security best practices and compliance standards. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges. Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change towards cutting edge DevOps practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a strategic outlook. Strong knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure, systems and network design. Own responsibility for large scale/scope services/components that comprise our production infrastructure and systems. Strong understanding of immutable infrastructure and infrastructure as code concepts. Participate in capacity planning and provisioning of new resources. ,
