An HR recruiter's job is to find and select qualified candidates for open positions in a company. They also help new hires get on board.
Responsibilities
Job posting: Create and update job descriptions, and advertise openings on job boards, social media, and the company's careers page
Sourcing: Find candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media, and employee referrals
Screening: Review resumes and applications, and conduct initial phone or video interviews
Interviewing: Assess candidates' experience, qualifications, and cultural fit through in-person, phone, or video interviews
Background checks: Verify candidates' references, employment history, and perform background checks
Offer management: Extend job offers, negotiate terms, and answer questions about benefits, compensation, and company policies
Onboarding: Help new hires get on board and act as a consultant
Metrics: Track key HR metrics like time-to-hire, time-to-fill, and source of hire
Reporting: Create and maintain reports on recruitment needs and activities
Collaboration: Work with managers to identify future hiring needs and discuss the efficiency of the recruitment process
