- # Position:** Lead R&D Engineer (CFD, C , Python) **Date:** Aug 12, 2024 **Location:** Pune, MH, IN, 411057 **Company:** Ansys ## Summary / Role Purpose The Fluids Business Unit (FBU) is seeking Lead R&D engineer for design and development of Ansys Fluent software. This position involves working closely with the Research and Development team that works in the research, design, and development of Ansys Fluent software. In this role, the Lead R&D Engineer will use expertise to develop strategic plans, refine requirements and provide technical leadership in achieving development objectives. ## Key Duties and Responsibilities Leads planning, architecture, or research with focus on user environment and related workflows Participates in product design and development activities requiring extensive analysis in software design. Acts as a technical reference within a group or product Development of efficient and scalable algorithms Develops and employs best practices and maintains them through technical reviews and mentoring Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support across multiple products. Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions, collaborating with the QA/support team Researches and understands the marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. May work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions Operates without direct supervision and may function as a software architect ## Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Bachelors and Masters degree in computer science, or Engineering with 10 years of software development experience Solid, demonstrable programming skills in at least one programming language (preferably C/C /Python) Strong background in data structures, algorithms and debugging Very good analytical and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a team-oriented environment ## Preferred Qualifications and Skills Software development experience in CFD area Experience of developing and debugging codes on Windows and/or Linux,
