Shape internet security As SSEII, you'll develop, maintain, and architect our cloud services and web applications, focusing on FedRAMP standards. You will be working on top-notch network security projects with highly skilled colleagues. You will enjoy challenges in an exciting, dynamic learning environment. As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will be responsible for: Developing new products and enhancing our Zero Trust solution with new capabilities and new types of deployment Designing, developing, validating, maintaining, releasing, and operating Python/GoLang/Java based backend services and Angular, HTML, and CSS frontend applications (50% frontend, 50% backend) Reviewing and maintaining technical documents related to requirements, design, and architecture Taking full ownership of your areas of work from design to deployment including CI/CD pipelines Participating in technical meetings and bringing innovation into every solution shipped Tackling and successfully resolving all complex problems Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have a minimum of 6+ years of experience and a degree in Computer Science or related field Have experience in writing backend applications using Python / GoLang, understanding of microservices architecture with RESTful APIs. Be familiar with relational and/or non-relational databases, caching mechanisms, and service communication Demonstrate understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and their applications in a microservices architecture Have expertise in TypeScript, including developing rich TypeScript web applications and creating reusable UI components Have experience with UI technologies such as Angular, HTML5, CSS3, with familiarity in general responsiveness concepts Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
