About the role Name of the position: Test Engineer - Powertrain development Educational Qualification: Graduate or Post graduate in Mechanical engineering or Automobile engineering Position Description: Conduct engine performance testing, calibration and development tests, Identify failure modes & conduct root cause analysis for identified failure modes Roles & Responsibilities: Study and understand test standard requirements Prepare vehicle/ powertrain/ component for development tests & calibration Prepare test equipment, planning of test schedule, write and execute test program Conduct tests and make observations as per standards & conduct root cause analysis for failures identified during testing Preparation of test reports, test standards, work instructions and SOPs Conduct drivability, altitude and other critical on-road tests to verify & engine refinement Conduct homologation specific tests for powertrain Functional Competencies: Product knowledge & Testing procedure Engine assembly & Disassembly Engine development tests & performance tests Product engineering & development Homologation On-road driving and assessment Standardization of Test methods & procedures Failure analysis Test report preparation & submission Instrumentation related to testing Behavioral Competencies: Basic Communication Skills Working with Team collaboratively Interpersonal Effectiveness & Personal Leadership Rigor in job / work completion Customer centricity / focus Time Management Leadership Competencies Leading Innovation & Diverse Teams Adaptability Strategic Thinking Why TVSM ,
