Job Description
- We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through rigorous testing processes. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify software defects, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Test Planning and Preparation: Analyze and understand software requirements and technical specifications. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Identify test data requirements and prepare test environments. Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools. Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. Provide regular updates on testing progress and results to stakeholders. Contribute to project meetings to discuss risks and quality standards. Automation and Process Improvement: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive tasks. Suggest process improvements to enhance software quality and testing efficiency. Security Assessment and Testing: Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits on applications, networks, and systems. Perform static and dynamic code analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities in applications. Simulate real-world attack scenarios to evaluate the security posture of systems and applications. Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Identify, document, and prioritize security risks and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to implement mitigation strategies and security controls. Validate remediation to ensure vulnerabilities are resolved. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure testing activities comply with company and industry standards Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect logs. Create detailed security testing reports, including identified vulnerabilities, risk assessments, and remediation recommendations. Requirements Bachelors / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a similar QA role. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Proficiency in using test management and bug-tracking tools. Experience with automated testing tools is a plus. Familiarity with programming languages for test automation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage time effectively. Experience in testing web, mobile, and desktop applications. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI). ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing. Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Understanding of operating systems, networking protocols, and database security.,
