Experience - 5+ yrs Linux Administrator with AWS Experience Key Responsibilities: Linux System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply security patches. Manage user access, permissions, and security policies. AWS Cloud Management: Deploy and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance. Implement security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, and encryption. Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible for automation and system management. Use Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. Networking & Security: Configure and troubleshoot network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls). Apply security patches and conduct vulnerability assessments. Implement logging and monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus). Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure automated backups and ensure disaster recovery strategies. Perform regular system audits and optimize backup strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator. Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, or Ansible for automation. Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system hardening. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certification (AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps). Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Exposure to cloud cost management and optimization.
