Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of core backend components for a generative AI platform. Architect and implement enterprise-scale vector database solutions for efficient document and data retrieval. Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python and frameworks like FastAPI and Flask. Architect and optimize document processing pipelines, including OCR, text extraction, and embedding generation. Design and implement advanced vector search algorithms and related optimization strategies. Drive integration efforts with various Azure AI and cognitive services to enhance platform capabilities. Establish and optimize data processing pipelines for document understanding and analysis. Implement advanced data caching strategies to improve system performance. Mentor junior and mid-level team members, fostering technical growth and establishing development standards. Lead the team in making critical architectural decisions to ensure platform scalability and performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Essential Skills And Qualifications Expert-level Python development, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies. Extensive experience with vector similarity search and optimization techniques for large-scale systems. Deep understanding of Azure AI services, including integration and optimization for backend solutions. Advanced experience with high-performance asynchronous processing and distributed systems. Proven expertise in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) architecture patterns. Strong experience in establishing technical standards and implementing best practices in backend development. Demonstrated success in leading AI/ML system development and building scalable backend architectures. Proven track record of mentoring teams and driving technical leadership within AI/ML initiatives. Additional Requirements Expert experience in optimizing and scaling AI models and backend solutions for high performance. Experience with enterprise-level software or product solutions and backend architecture at scale. Proven ability to establish and maintain development standards and best practices within a growing team. Track record of successful technical mentorship and fostering development within a team.
