Were seeking a Principal Engineer who join our Data Science team will play a crucial role in building, deploying, and maintaining data-driven solutions that directly impact business outcomes, enhance product functionality, and drive customer engagement for SonyLIV. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and deliver solutions that create measurable value for the business. Your contributions will directly enhance the company's growth and product capabilities. Principal Engineer, Data Science, SonyLIV Key Responsibilities Model Development & Training: Develop, validate, and fine-tune machine learning models, perform data analysis and feature engineering, and implement model performance metrics to ensure quality. Model Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy models using MLOps tools, monitor model performance, and work with software engineering teams to deploy models via REST APIs or within existing pipelines. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for data science applications, participate in solution architecture discussions to ensure seamless integration of models, and contribute to the definition of data strategies. Data: Work with data engineering teams to ensure high-quality data that meet the needs of machine learning models, participate in defining and building the data architecture required to collect, clean, and transform data, and ensure alignment with business requirements. Business Insights: Proactively analyze data to answer key business questions, provide clear insights, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences to ensure data-driven decision-making. Critical Competencies for Success Technical Hands-on experience with Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn. Strong understanding of data mining, data analysis, and feature engineering. Experience with model deployment and monitoring using MLOps frameworks. Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and model deployment. Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) for efficient data handling. Ability to develop API endpoints to serve machine learning models to end-users. Behavioral Must be confident, highly motivated, and passionate about delivering value through data science. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions. Passion for results and a demonstrated track record of achieving challenging goals. Effective communicator able to translate data science concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changing requirements. Open to receiving feedback and continuously improving. Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members. Key Skills Required Programming Languages: Python, SQL, familiarity with Go is a plus. Data Handling: Pandas, NumPy, SQL, familiarity with data lakes and warehousing. Model Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, familiarity with CI/CD practices, including tools like Kubeflow or MLflow. Cloud Platforms: AWS (Sagemaker), GCP (Vertex AI Platform), Azure (ML). Data Pipelines: Experience with tools like Apache Airflow, Luigi for scheduling data processing jobs. Search Technologies: Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Solr is a plus for model integration.,
