- Job Description: Senior Automation QA Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing automated test frameworks for complex software systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation using C# and Selenium WebDriver, a solid understanding of testing methodologies, and the ability to build scalable and reliable automation solutions. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities Test Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using C# and Selenium WebDriver. Design and implement scalable and reliable automated test frameworks to support end-to-end testing. Incorporate BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and unit testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG. Test Management: Plan, execute, and manage testing processes using tools like JIRA, ALM, and Helix. Create detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports to ensure comprehensive coverage. Database Testing: Write and execute SQL queries for RDBMS systems like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to validate data integrity and business logic. Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD): Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Git. Ensure smooth test execution within CI/CD workflows, identifying and resolving integration issues. Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and clarify requirements. Tool Development: Design and develop custom tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Explore and implement innovative testing approaches for complex systems. Cloud and Containerization: Leverage cloud technologies such as Azure and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for testing environments (preferred). Technical Challenges: Analyze and articulate technical challenges, identifying solutions for undefined or ambiguous problems. Provide mentorship to junior team members, ensuring adherence to testing best practices. Required Skills And Qualifications Experience: 5-8 years in software testing, with a focus on test automation. Programming Skills: Proficient in C#, .NET; knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript is a plus. Test Automation: Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, BDD Frameworks (e.g., Cucumber), and TestNG. Database Skills: Proficient in SQL for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools. Test Management: Proficient in JIRA, ALM, and Helix. Cloud & Containers: Knowledge of Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes (preferred). Agile Development: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative development cycles. Preferred Skills Familiarity with cloud-based testing and deployment practices. Ability to optimize test environments using containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in developing and implementing performance and load testing strategies. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate technical issues. Collaborative mindset to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
