- 3 - 5 Years 6 Openings Bangalore Role description We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Support Analyst to join our team. This role requires a strong production support mindset, hands-on experience with data processing tools, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data engineering technologies, including Python, PySpark, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS, and will be able to contribute to our teams success through effective communication, problem-solving, and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Production Support Mindset: Provide proactive support, assessing experience with troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, and adherence to SLAs. Demonstrate a proactive problem-solving approach and strong communication skills in a production environment. Participate in on-call rotations and efficiently handle production emergencies. Practical Experience: Provide specific examples of past projects, challenges faced, and how they were overcome in real-world scenarios. Focus on demonstrating proficiency in core areas, understanding the broader ecosystem, and willingness to learn new technologies when required. Communication: Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely. Articulate problems, solutions, and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skill-Specific requirements: Python: Strong knowledge of basic syntax, data structures, and control flow. Experience with scripting and automation (essential for support tasks). Proficiency with relevant libraries for data manipulation, logging, or system interaction. PySpark: Understanding of Spark architecture (driver, executors, transformations, actions). Ability to write efficient PySpark code for data processing and analysis. Experience with common Spark operations such as filtering, aggregation, and joins. Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques. SQL: Expertise in complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and window functions. Experience with data manipulation (insert, update, delete). Solid understanding of query optimization and performance tuning. Scala (if applicable): Basic Scala syntax and object-oriented concepts. Familiarity with functional programming principles is a plus. Proficiency level based on how much Scala is used in production systems. Snowflake: Experience with Snowflake architecture and key features. Ability to write efficient SQL queries within Snowflake. Understanding of Snowflakes data loading and unloading capabilities. Knowledge of performance optimization within Snowflake. Hadoop: Basic understanding of HDFS and MapReduce. Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem (YARN, Hive, etc.). Practical experience related to data ingestion, processing, or storage within Hadoop. AWS: Familiarity with relevant AWS services (S3, EC2, EMR, Glue). Experience with cloud-based data processing and storage. Understanding of AWS security best practices. Hands-on experience deploying and managing Big Data workloads on AWS. Qualifications: Eexperience in production support or a related field, particularly in data engineering or big data environments. Strong technical background with experience in Python, PySpark, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS. Excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills. Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to learn new technologies and tools as the production environment evolves.
