- Description: Our client specializes in providing safety and surveillance solutions for school buses. Their primary product is a camera system designed to monitor and record activities around school buses, particularly to enhance safety by capturing violations such as illegal passing. They often partner with schools and municipalities to improve the safety of children as they board or disembark buses. The companys key offerings and initiatives include: Stop-Arm Camera Systems: equips school buses with stop-arm cameras to capture footage of vehicles illegally passing stopped school buses. These cameras are designed to enforce traffic laws and ensure the safety of students boarding or alighting from buses. Requirements: 5+ year of software development experience in Ruby on Rails. 3+ years of experience with web frameworks (preferred: Rails or Rack, Python Django) Min. 6 months+ experience either in Angular.Js/ ReactJs / Vue.js Demonstrated experience with AWS Services (services preferreJ: Lambda, SQS, S3) Experience working in a software product driven environment Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 Workable knowledge of relational databases (ex: MySQL, Postgres) Experience with Linters (ex: RuboCop, Flake8, ESLint) Preferences: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Knowledge of version control, such as Git Familiarity with Docker (containerized environment) Knowledge of testing libraries (ideally: rspec, pytest, jest) Job Responsibilities: Reporting to the Sr. Full Stack Development Lead, the successful candidates will be instrumental in executing and delivering well tested code. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including our core applications and customer-facing interfaces. This position will require you to work in close concert, as part of a larger geographically distant team where you will be required to share your insights to drive a better process.
