Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a meticulous Software Tester to oversee quality assurance activities related to software analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, executing functional and regression testing, and performing exploratory testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer support, to ensure the software meets the highest standards before release.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough software testing, analyze test results, and effectively communicate findings with developers.
Check software functionality across different operating systems, browsers, and devices to ensure optimal user experience.
Identify security vulnerabilities and contribute to improving the companys product solutions.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and support teams to ensure software meets user expectations.
Develop and document test cases based on consumer specifications and project requirements.
Perform root cause analysis on defects to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Conduct exploratory, functional, and usability testing to detect and resolve software issues before deployment.
Execute comprehensive test plans to verify all software features function as intended.
Contribute to the continuous enhancement of software testing methodologies and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
o Experience with functional, regression, exploratory, and security testing.
o Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
o Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
o Knowledge of different operating systems, browsers, and mobile testing frameworks.
o Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Bugzilla.
o Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI (preferred).
o Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus.
o Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
o Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
o Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
o Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments.
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
