Job Description
- Cloud Security Architect We're a rapidly scaling company seeking a passionate Cloud Security Architect to join our dynamic Security team. You'll play a crucial role in securing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our SaaS offering. Responsibilities: Lead the direction and goals of our Cloud Security program. Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AWS infrastructure, considering both the cloud environment and applications. Implement security controls for cloud resources (data storage, networking, compute, IAM). Develop and maintain cloud-specific incident response plans, and respond to incidents, providing post-event analysis. Proactively identify and mitigate security risks, conducting assessments and vulnerability scans, leveraging tools like CNAPP. Collaborate with SRE and Operations teams to ensure secure application deployment and operation. Automate security controls and processes. Stay current with cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Contribute to our cloud security strategy. Work with Engineering teams to align security measures with business objectives. Manage security tools and services (SIEM, EDR, etc.), developing performance and risk monitoring metrics. Maintain and contribute to our cloud security training program. Qualifications: 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and securing AWS infrastructure, with deep knowledge of AWS security services. Expertise with Kubernetes, containerization, and IaC tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Crossplane). Expertise in network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS). Strong understanding of IAM principles. Experience with security automation and DevSecOps. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Passion for building secure and resilient systems. Strong communication skills, ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Continuous learner, thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Fluent English (written and spoken). Bonus Points: Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure). Proficiency in Python, Golang (JavaScript/TypeScript a plus). Experience with compliance standards (FedRAMP, SOC2). Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001). Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
