Job Description

Company: IT Services Organization Key Skills: Ms Sql, MS SQL Server, Azure Roles and Responsibilities: Manage SQL databases for versions SQL 2008R2, SQL 2012, SQL 2014, SQL 2016, SQL 2017, SQL 2019, and SQL 2022. Installation, configurations, upgrade, and migration of all SQL versions. Regular backup of databases as per industry standard and restore of databases to various versions, including TSQL and SQL tools. Creation and managing logins and users, managing their permissions with standard practice. Manage and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures to ensure high performance. Manage database growth and storage, implementing appropriate monitoring and alerts. Ensure data integrity by implementing strong database design and normalization techniques. Monitor database performance, proactively identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize queries and database designs. Analyze and tune SQL queries for performance, including using indexing, query execution plans, and other techniques. Skills Required: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues such as blocking, deadlocks, and slow performance. Enforce data security policies to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement encryption, auditing, and user access management strategies. Configure and manage high availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and database replication. Set up and manage automated alerts for critical database events, such as backup failures, performance issues, and security breaches. Work with developers and System Admins for implementing and updating any changes as per standard change process on production servers. Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field,
