Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Presales Consultant Job Summary: The MES Presales Consultant is a technical and customer-facing role responsible for driving the sales of Siemens Opcenter Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions. This individual acts as a trusted advisor to potential clients, understanding their manufacturing challenges and demonstrating how Siemens Opcenter MES can address their needs. They provide technical expertise, conduct product demonstrations, develop proof-of-concepts, and collaborate with the sales team to close deals. Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Conduct thorough discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, pain points, and business objectives related to manufacturing operations. Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of Siemens Opcenter MES solutions, highlighting their value proposition and benefits. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, acting as a technical point of contact. Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of Siemens Opcenter MES modules and functionalities. Understand manufacturing processes and industry best practices, particularly in relevant sectors (e.g., automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage). Develop and deliver technical proposals, including system architectures, configurations, and implementation plans. Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot projects to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of Siemens Opcenter MES. Stay up-to-date on the latest Siemens Opcenter MES releases, features, and industry trends. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and tactics. Provide technical input for RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFQs (Requests for Quotations). Assist in the development of sales collateral, including presentations, white papers, and case studies. Support the sales team in closing deals by addressing technical questions and concerns. Provide accurate time estimations for project implementations. Prepare BOM & SOW and discuss with vendors for the implementation part. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with product management, development, and implementation teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Provide feedback to product management on customer needs and market trends. Document presales activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or related field) or computer science. Proven experience in a presales or technical consulting role, preferably in the MES or manufacturing automation domain. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards (e.g., ISA-95). Experience with Siemens Opcenter MES or other MES solutions is highly desirable. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and translate customer requirements into technical solutions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel. Knowledge of database systems, and networking. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific industry verticals (e.g., automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals). Knowledge of related Siemens products, such as Teamcenter, SIMATIC PLC, and automation systems. Experience with programming languages. Experience with virtual machines, and cloud based solutions.
