About the Job As a Senior Engineer Mechatronics Systems, you will lead the design and development of state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. These robots are intended to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around them. This position reports to the Director of Mechatronics at Jio Humanoid Robotics. What Youll Be Doing Hardware Design: Lead the design and development of hardware components, including sensors, actuators, control systems, and power management solutions for mechatronic systems. Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate hardware designs, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance. Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and systems engineers to ensure integrated solutions that meet product requirements. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges during the design and testing phases, implementing innovative solutions. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mechatronics, applying best practices to enhance design processes and outcomes. What We Need To See Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Masters degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 8-12 years of experience in mechatronics or related fields, with a proven track record in robotics or automation. Skills & Competencies Required Strong understanding of mechatronics systems. Understanding of robotic control systems (e.g., motion control, sensor control). Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and simulation tools. Experience with C/C++, Python programming languages. Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Expertise in kinematics and dynamics. Mechanical design and analysis skills. Knowledge of material science and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Continuous improvement and innovation mindset. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Preferred Knowledge of MATLAB. Knowledge of LabVIEW.
