- Overview The Selenium, JavaScript Developer plays a critical role in the software development lifecycle by ensuring that web applications are tested rigorously to meet the highest standards of quality. This position requires a meticulous approach to testing, focusing on automated testing solutions through the use of Selenium and JavaScript frameworks. The developer acts as a bridge between the software engineering and quality assurance teams, collaborating closely to identify bugs and ensure seamless integration of features. By creating and maintaining test scripts, the Selenium, JavaScript Developer helps minimize manual testing efforts, thereby increasing the efficiency of the development process. The position is vital in enhancing user experience and application reliability, directly contributing to the organizations success in delivering top-notch software products that meet client expectations. Key Responsibilities Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium and JavaScript frameworks. Develop and maintain testing frameworks for efficient testing processes. Execute regression, integration, and performance tests to ensure application stability. Identify, record, and track bugs through bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality and test requirements. Create detailed, comprehensive test plans and cases. Conduct reviews of software specifications and designs for testability. Perform root cause analysis of defects and issues. Continuously improve testing processes and automation frameworks. Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver on project milestones. Provide test estimation and status reporting to stakeholders. Integrate testing solutions with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Mentor junior developers on testing best practices and tools. Stay updated with the latest industry practices and tools for software testing. Contribute to the development of internal documentation and guidelines. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Selenium and JavaScript Developer, preferably in automated testing roles. Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and testing frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript programming and its frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience with API testing tools and methodologies. Understanding of Agile software development practices. Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience with performance testing tools is a plus. Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration for testing. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and application debugging. Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation. Familiarity with other programming languages is advantageous. Relevant certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB) are preferred.
