- *Electrical Design Intern** *Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of electrical design, working on real-world projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. The successful candidate will assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components, contributing to the creation of innovative and reliable solutions. *Responsibilities:** Assist in the design and drafting of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical). Participate in the selection of electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, relays, and sensors, based on project requirements. Perform calculations for voltage drop, current capacity, and power distribution. Assist in the development of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and procurement documentation. Contribute to the creation of technical specifications and documentation. Support the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and prototypes. Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations. Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure project requirements are met. Research new technologies and industry standards related to electrical design. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Potentially assist with on-site installation or commissioning activities (depending on project needs and safety protocols). Perform other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:** Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and control systems. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical) is a plus. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and challenges. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Experience with specific electrical design software or tools. Previous internship or project experience in electrical engineering. Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulations relevant to your company. Programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis or automation. *Learning Outcomes:** During this internship, the student will: Gain practical experience in electrical design and drafting. Develop skills in selecting and specifying electrical components. Learn how to perform electrical calculations and analysis. Gain experience in creating technical documentation.
